MC KING '12

Cricket is a part of my life . Few weeks ago, Malay College Cricket Team had participated in Tan Sri Hamzah Cup North Zone SBP Cricket Championship that was held at Tapah Science Secondary School (SESTA). Malay College was voted to be in Group B together with SERATAS - SMSAH and SMSKP.

On the first day of our arrival, we had our first game against SERATAS and we won the game with ease. Moving on to the 2nd day, we were up against SMSAH. The game was quite tough as we were the last schools to finish our game. However, we still managed to win the game. Next day, we met SMSKP. This game was really important as it will determine our qualification to the Semi-final. After struggling for the game, again we won and making a clean sheet without any losts. Malay College was ranked First in Group B.

Then, on the 4th day, we faced SAINA at the Semi-final. During this game, we gave our full commitment and although we were pressured and mocked by other school (*as usual), we still won the game. On the last day, we competed against STAR at the final. We had gave our very best but luck was not on our side. Malay College Cricket Team placed 2nd for this year's tournament, again. Making it the 7th consecutive year of qualifying to the National Level which will be held at SAKTI later. To Collegians, we are really sorry for the lost. But, one of our players namely Irfan (our captain) was chosen to be the Best Bowler of the Tournament. So, at least, we brought back a pride.
